Applying Flexible Magnets

- Place magnet on smooth, flast or gently curved metallic surfaces.
- Entire magnet should be flat against the metal surface (no air pockets).
- If you place the magnet in the wrong position, remove the magnet from the surface and replace. Do not pull the magnet acorss the surface.
- Do not place on horizontal metal surfaces (e.g. car hood) exposed to direct sunlight or temperatures exceeding 150 F.
- Be aware that long-term use on areas frequently exposed to sunlight can cause uneven fading of that area covered by the magnet being sheilded from ultraviolet rays.
- Magnet will only stick to metal cars, therefore, if your car is fiberglass, visit our website at StudentDriverMagnets.com to order special suction cups for only $1 a set, which can be used on any surface.

Preparing Magnet And Metal Surfaces

- Before placing magnet on metal surface, be sure all surface paints, clean coats and waxes are cured (hardened). For paint, wait 90 days, clean coat, wait 60 days and wax, wait 2 days.
- Clean both sides of the magnet with mild soap.
- Wipe with soft clean cloth or allow to dry.

Cleaning Flexible Magnets

- Clean both the magnet and the metal surface with mild soap to guard against moisture and dirt buildup. Remove weekly and wipe with a soft, clean cloth or allow to air dry.
- In order to protect fresh clear coat, base coat and vinyl surfaces on new cars and trucks, remove magnetic signs daily.

Storing Flexible Magnets

- When not in use, keep in a clean, dry place.
- Stack magnets flat on a level surface. Do not stack with magnetic sides facing eachother.
- During cold weather conditions, we recommend taking the magnets inside and storing as indicated above, since magnetic material can freeze and would not be able to mold/form to your car's shape.

Suction Cup Use

- Clean surface suction cup is being attached to before use.
- Make a hole for the tacks to go through in the magnets by using a hammer and a big nail to perforate the magnets in the appropriate spots. (If we receive notification from you, this would have already been done for you). We recommend a hole in the middle of the letter "R" in Driver (first "R") and one in the middle of the big "S" in Student.
- Place suction cup on the back of the magnet and press tack through hole in magnet into sucton cup.
- Clean suction cup periodically with mild soap and water. Let dry before reusing.

Remove magnets (and suction cups) before going through a car wash.

Good luck to you and your new driver and remeber to always SLAP ONE ON FOR SAFETY!
